The Bishops of the Arizona Catholic Conference are grateful for the passage of pro-life legislation (SB 1318) signed into law today. We applaud this effort to make sure that Arizona insurance plans under the federal health care exchange do not include coverage for elective abortions.
SB 1318 is a simple bill that better protects taxpayers not wanting to subsidize abortion.
We are grateful that Arizona continues to be a state that values innocent life from conception until natural death, and that SB 1318 has been signed into law. We will continue to advocate for and to support all legislation that upholds the dignity and protection of the life of the unborn and every other person.
